First Day of School!

Wow, It's September already. What happened to February?

A'dra was so excited to start all day. Not to sure if she is more excited to have 3 recesses now or that she gets to go to school on half days. It's funny the things that excite them.


Wesley made it through the day, but was wiped when he got home. I think he forgot that he had surgery yesterday. He was in a bit of pain, but started to do better when he got home and some medicine in him.


Austin came home with homework. He was a little out of place that he had it on the first day of school. (way to go Mr. T.) He did it without complaining and finished up in time to go to bed. Austin is doing Safety Patrol again. We got a phone call last Friday asking him to do the first day of school.
So, what do I do when all three kids are in school all day? hmmm let's see, I was at school in the morning to help with the first day chaos. Then came home. I was able to get all of the clean clothes folded and mostly put away. Did some computer work, and letters written that needed to get done. Then the kids came home. Sounds real exciting ehh?

Let's play the game, what's wrong with this picture? Well, yep, first day of school and guess who forgot their child at school? YES...me...Last year Austin did Safety Patrol in the morning only. So he would ride the bus home. I guess he decided that this year he wanted to do both morning and afternoon. It would have been nice to have been in that loop. Luckily everyone at school knows me, and kept him occupied until I could get there to pick him up. Bad mom....

So, we survived the first day of school. Thank you Mom and Dad for letting us borrow the blazer until we can figure out what to do with the van. Hopefully we will know something soon.
