I have always wanted...

...to go to Multnomah Falls when it is frozen.

Well, this year, we decided that since we have had a record cold snap, a vehicle that could make it, and Jennifer in town to have a reason to go, we went.

We got to the Waikeena Falls and here is what it looks like...

A trip for us this year has not consisted of anything boring. This was yet another one of those trips. While at Waikeena Falls, Rick heard a strange whistling. Yes, with all of the snow and slushy ice on the road, we had picked up a nail.
But, it did not consist of a call to AAA (good thing since Jill and Todd were not with us, and we haven't purchased it yet.)

One of the things Rick made sure we had when we bought the Durango was a full size spare. He changed the tire quickly (I was a good bolt holder). And we were on our way again.

Leave it to my sister to get our kids to break the law...

Thanks Jen...

We finally made it to Multnomah Falls. It was worth the time, flat tire, and it was amazing.

The view to Washington

The waterfalls on the Washington side. I thought it looked cool with it frozen all the way down to the Columbia river.

It was a good day. We will get our tire back tomorrow, fixed.
