What a day...

Have you ever had one of those days...you know...the one where you ask where's the chocolate? Well, today was one of those days. It started yesterday when I had a huge migrain that was severly effecting my vision. Today it was with the kids having their second dose of IG by subq (under skin in belly). Last week it went well at the doctors office. This week Rick and I went so we could start next week here at home. We got up early and were at the doctors office by 8am, and the medicine was not there. :( ugg... So they call the pharmacy and it was never sent. The doctor could only be at the office until 11am because they have a team running Hood to Coast this weekend. The pharmacy had no idea what happened. They said that they would call me within a 1/2 hour. Well, it was more like 40 minutes before they called back, but they did call before I had to call them. They were going to send a nurse with the medicine and all the supplies by 5pm. That was not going to work! I was supposed to have meetings all afternoon, ending with a PTO meeting here at my home at 6pm. The infusions take 2-3hours and a nurse here while we were doing all that, I don't think so. To crazy. The nurse called and said that she could be here about 2, ok we'll be able to work with that. I rearranged the meetings and Rick went to work. We'll have to train him next week. The nurse showed up about 230, and by 310 I had both children hooked up and rolling:) I took pictures to show those who were curious about it. So, after the kids decided what movie to watch, the nurse felt she didn't need to be there any more and left. She was very nice and I was proud of myself and not rude because of the mixup. I know it wasn't her fault, but very frustrating! The house is mostly organized now!!! woohoo, we are majorly dejunking. A'dra's infusion finished up about 5 and Wesley's finished up about 615. So the PTO board was able to see it.
A'dra all hooked up.

Wesley all hooked up

Wesley....all done...the bumps are not as big as they were last week.

A'dra's bumps...They too are smaller this week.

Subq is definately different then the IVIG they were receiving. This dose is smaller, but they do it weekly to sustain levels instead of the spiking and dropping that they were doing. It will be nice now that we can do it at home and not spending so much time at the doctors. We can also do it when it is convenient for us, which means less school missed and also not so many side effects. All of which we are looking forward to.

School starts in 2 weeks. Time flies. I am applying for another job. If we could have your prayers we would appreciate it. We would have medical right away which would be good to cover the kids double. I would also have my weekends :).

I think I have rambled enough. We hope everyone is doing well.
