We went up to Old Man's Pass yesterday with the Cub Scouts. It was pretty empty until the afternoon. Nothing like it has been in the past. Overall the group had a great time. Austin decided he was going to play tackle to snowman, or something like that. Well a 2 1/2 foot snowman base that is almost solid ice doesn't move. Here is his damage...
It looks much worse today. After a trip to the E.R., the doctor saying we can't do an x-ray and she doesn't want to expose him to the radiation of a c.t. We will wait and go see his doctor tomorrow. He can't open his mouth very wide. He is on a soft food diet until he can. Tylenol and Motrin are not helping the pain very much. He is such a trooper. His new theme song is: "I fought the snowman and the snowman won" ;)

A'dra is getting older...
Austin's last Pinewood Derby
A couple weeks ago was Austin's last Pinewood Derby as a Cub Scout. For the first time in his Cub Scout career Kennedy beat him. (way to go Kennedy). Austin was such a great sport. He carved everything, sanded, and painted all by himself. He did a great job.
Wesley finished in second. He also did all the work himself. It is so neat to watch how they have grown. Their cars over the last several years have progressed into their work not our visions. It's hard but fun to watch them grow up.
Here is a picture of the cars. One day we will remember to take lots of pictures.

Austin's car is the far left blue and black one. A'dra's is next to that. Mine was the covered wagon. Wesley's is the red and white one on the right.
It was a fun night.

Happy Birthday A'dra
It is hard to believe that A'dra is now 7. When I asked her what was going to be great about 7, she said "I'll soon be 8" hmmm ok, I'll bite. What's so great about 8? She said "I'll be able to get out of my booster seat!" Then she went on to say she was excited to be baptized. I just thought that was funny. It was a fun night. We got home from school and celebrated. Then off to the ward activity.
Here she is...

(holding her nose so she wouldn't blow the candles out before we were done singing.)

Weekend at the Coast
Last weekend we had the opportunity to go to Lincoln City. The kids and I have never been and it has been a long time since Rick has been there. I had meetings that started Friday night and continued until Sunday. (Getting ready for summer camps). Rick and the kids enjoyed some precious time together. They went to the Aquarium and spent time on the beach. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. The weather was awesome, the sunsets amazing, and family time was unforgettable. Here are some pictures. They are not in any type of order. It was a great relaxing weekend.
